A twenty-year-old immigrant, Levi Strauss, came to the United States in 1850 to get his fortune within the goldfields. But curiously, he made his fortune on heavy canvas he found ideal for working clothes. Strauss' jeans were good for prospectors and the conception of jeans, the guy couldn't have guessed that his pants, made limited to rough work, would become so popular whatsoever levels of socie
